💸 How pricing works
At Butterfly, pricing depends on the scope of the marketplace and the level of customization required. Many founders start with an MVP (minimum viable product) to validate their idea and launch quickly, then expand the platform with additional features as the marketplace grows. We build marketplaces on Sharetribe and focus on custom development that adapts the platform to each business model. This can include custom listing flows, advanced category structures, integrations with payment providers, and connections with external services through APIs. For example, custom UI/UX design, from end-to-end Figma mockups to implementing those designs in the Sharetribe template, typically ranges from €1,500 to €3,000, depending on complexity and number of screens. Every marketplace is different, so we usually start with a short discussion to understand the idea, recommend the right technical approach, and estimate the work involved.
